It is a privilege to know the Kunchiwala family. I was never made to feel away from home in their presence and frequent get-together s kept us close. Food to talk to anything feel free to ask and transfer knowledge.
Do not worry about small doubts, they will be resolved easily. When you arrive, be ready for the warmth in the cold country

Hello Aunty and Uncle
I will always very very happy to write here again and again...The Name ASHOK KUNCHIWALA in Google search would have been at the top among the IIT students who have been here in karlsruhe.
Personally i am very glad to have Uncle and Aunty in Karlsruhe. whenever i found any difficulty they are always ready to help me. I was like an unknown child when i came here 1st time and You both handled my hand like as my parents did in my childhood.
It was very nice time with you during my DAAD project and it would be very nice time in future three year too.
So i am thanking again both of you from the bottom of my heart. And looking forward to see you again in Karlsruhe
Message to those are coming and willing to come in karlsruhe..please contact the Kunchiwala and forget all things..You are in the safe and helping hands...Don't worry about the food ...surely you will get some delicious food in your first days in Karlsruhe
Love you both Ashok uncle and Eva Aunty
Best Regards

even though I have missed out on few occasions to meet you(since i reached late), while leaving to Germany -an entirely alien society and culture to me then- the only homely image i had was your concern for us as i learned from my senior and friend Anu Thomas who happened to enjoy your hospitality during his stay in Karlsruhe.
thank you uncle and auntie..
with much love,

My early days in Germany were very delightful. Generally it takes some time to adjust to a foreign environment but thanks to our dear Uncle Ashok and aunty Eva, we were able to overcome our early jitters. The city of Karlsruhe might not be as big as Berlin but it is every bit as interesting a city as any I have been in.

It is not easy to express the thing which you have done in the beginning by words. That was a nice moments in my life. Before reaching to Karlsruhe, we guys are in big confusion about next steps. But after your introduction our heart said, 'no probs, one of our family is here. so nothing to worry about'.
May be this is not a big deal for you both, but my mind always asking like, 'how is it possible to take care of 9 unknown faces for 3 days like their own kids'. Its really amazing.
Aunty we miss your food stuffs (especially IDLI and SAMBAR) and I hope soon we will get another appointment. That was really awesome taste.
We miss you both and thank you so much for everything.
Take care and Bye.

Hi Ashok uncle and Eva aunty,
It was during August 2010 just before 1 month before our departure to Germany. It was the first time we were going out of India and were really confused with things to carry . Uncle, you called us and told us what to bring and what not....
Once we reached Germany, you and aunty took care of us (not 1 person but 9 of us ) for three days....You made lunch and dinner for all of us.... You knew the difficulties face by a person when he comes to a new country and you helped us in over coming those difficulties... You showed us where to buy , how to buy, and what to buy.....We felt very comfortable for that three days and felt like we were at home...
The important thing is you did all this in between your tight schedule ( you were leaving to India on 4th Sep )
I do not have words to thank you..... Nothing is bigger than a timely help...
we miss you and aunty here... Thanks for everything .

Dear Uncle and Aunty,
In life our paths cross with certain people which change our course of life forever. An epitome of compassion and love you took us to heart even though we were nothing more than plain acquaintances in the beginning. With you all it was a home away from home, and we never realized how the wheels of time turned so quickly and it was time to go back again. Nevertheless in reminiscence it still feels like a reverie and in moments of nostalgia the sweet memories flood back from the inner recesses of the heart-- a feeling of deja vu. My love and respects to you for being such wonderful human beings. May God fill your lives with happiness and keep you always in good spirits.
With love and regards,
Arpan.
