I am so happy to see that ashok uncle has made a website! its been almost 10 years( in 2000) since we have been to Germany and my I was 11 years when i met ashok uncle and family and i cant forget those wonderful moments we've spent there.. eva aunty..they were there whenever we needed them..as my mother was a teacher he showed around all the schools, helped us with the language and basically everything! i remember the day he invited my family and my father's colleague for dinner..it felt like i was at my home back in india! Uncle..i wish you all the best!! thanks alot for all that you've done!

It's now more than three years, when we arrived first time at Karlsruhe and found you waiting at Europahaus for us. It was so amazing and nice. It's still so fresh in my mind. Now I always miss home on Diwali every year. But in 2005 I didn't miss at all. Because you were there like parents.
I am very sorry that I didn't contact you for long time. I always remembered both of you through last three years. I hope to visit Karlsruhe soon and I"ll come to meet you.

Hope u r fine and doing well, my stay in Karlsruhe finally came to an end and it was really a nice experience. Like every year, this year, we, 4 Indian students from IIT came to Karlsruhe, Germany under DAAD-IIT Masters program. We are very lucky to have Uncle and aunty in Germany. We are getting help every time we needed. I think I can’t find another family in Karlsruhe or overall Germany who help and take care the Indian students coming in Germany for their studies. They are guiding us everytime which are really needed of us.
In my Birthday, uncle and aunty came to my place with wonderful cake. Aunty prepared it in the morning for me. That’s really surprising for me. I am proud enough for getting affection from them.
I am praying to God to give them a long life.

Kunchiwala Uncle and Aunty here in Karlsruhe make the students coming fron India to feel as they are in India only not somewhere outside the home country.
They helped us a lot to get acquaintted to the numerous new things here in Germany which may be so helpful for us for our nine months stay here. They just guide the right way to go ahead.

We were new in Karlsruhe. German system of everyday life was very different for us. An acquiescence in my department told me about Kunchiwala couple and suggested to contact them. Eventually, I contacted them. At that time, I talked with "Mr. Kunchiwala" who invited me and my wife to his house on the very same evening.

Indian music was playing on in his house. "Mrs. Kunchiwala" made indian chai. Our first impression about them was: Indian origin Mr. Kunchiwala adapted German mannerisms, whereas German origin Mrs. Kunchiwala perfectly complemented him by adapting Indian mannerisms. They offered their assistance to help us during our initial phase in Karlsruhe.

I was pretty formal to address them as "Mr" and "Mrs" Kunchiwala. "Mrs. Kunchiwala" affectionately told us to address them as aunty and uncle. And thus they became uncle and aunty for us.

August 2008
I had to go to a general practitioner doctor for some reason. Uncle suggested us one doctor. I told the doctor that I got his contact from "Mr. Kunchiwala". I was formal in addressing. And to my surprise, the doctor said with a BIG smile on his face," A ha.... Kunchiwala Uncle.....call him uncle." Even for the doctor, "Mr. Kunchiwala" was Kunchiwala Uncle!!!
